Orange
Orange is a city located in Orange County and is unusual in this region because many of the homes in its Old Town District were built before 1920. While many other cities in the region demolished such houses in the 1960s, Orange decided to preserve them. The “downtown” area of Orange is called “Old Town Orange” and it is adorable. Old Town Orange is made up of old shops and restaurants and is completely pedestrian friendly. This quaint town is home to lots and lots of antique shops. The Chapman Antique Mall, Country Roads Antiques & Gardens, the Orange Circle Antique Mall and Woody’s Antiques are all fan favorites—and located within steps from each other. Every year during Labor Day Weekend, the city of Orange hosts the Orange International Street Fair. The city closes several streets in the city and dedicates each block to a different culture. The main attraction of this event is the food, as almost every culture has at least a couple of vendors selling food. Orange is an ideal environment for filming due to the proximity to Los Angeles and the temperate weather conditions. If you spend some time outside, you just might find yourself stumbling onto a movie shoot. Orange has a strong culture and an extraordinarily rich history; it is certainly a wonderful place to consider as your hometown.
